Clutch – Chapters / Nail polish – Orly / Lipsticks – YSL / Hair serum – Kerastase Elixir
I just wanted to share with you a haul from this past weekend. So let’s start off and say I’ve been on a mission for the past few months. Since it’s been getting warmer outside, I’ve been looking for a cute clutch. As you all may know, I LOVE pastels, and when I came across this gorgeous lavender clutch, it immediately screamed “Mel.”. I love the fold over clutches. They are just so pretty and this gold detailing on this is darling. This clutch is perfect to wear dressed up, or even casually. It’s the perfect simple/girlie piece to my wardrobe and I’m so happy I found it. Plus, the best part, it was only $20 Canadian. Such a steal in my opinion!!
On another note… I’ve been a little obsessed with YSL lipsticks lately. I decided to treat myself and purchase these two gorgeous lipsticks. The first picture is YSL rouge volupte number 7 “lingerie pink” (also I’m wearing it in the picture), and the second one is YSL rouge volupte number 32 (a beautiful coral/pink). I cannot get over how creamy these lipsticks are and the packaging is way too pretty! If you’ve never tried a YSL lipstick, you need to. There is a reason girls love these… because they are amazing! lol. Also, since the summer is finally here, I’m gravitating towards very light colours, and these are perfect!
The next item I got was this gorgeous nail polish by Orly in “Lift the veil.” For the pic above, I applied 3 coats to get it more solid looking, although if you prefer a creamy look, you can apply 1-2 coats. I am so in love with this shade of pink. It’s a soft, peachy pink. It’s similar to O.P.I’s pinking of you. I actually really like the formula of Orly. I was pleasantly surprised by this polish.
Last but not least, I decided to splurge and get the Kerastase Elixir serum. I finally used up my previous serum and have wanted to try this out for so long. I absolutely LOVE it so far. Apparently this elixir penetrates deep in the hair to help to help strengthen it from the inside out. I have been applying this on towel dried hair, and also to the mid-ends of my hair when dry, and I must say, I think this has become a new favourite and possible holy grail product. I’ve noticed a lot more shine and also less frizz. I’ve also heard that you should apply a couple of pumps throughout your hair before bed, then when you wash it in the morning, your hair is supposed to feel amazing! I think I’m going to be trying that out this weekend.
Have an amazing day! xoxo
